Wzrost akceptacji społecznej dla uchodźców oraz aktywizowanie społeczności lokalnych, współtworzonych przez cudzoziemców do podejmowania inicjatyw zwiększających wzajemną integrację - to cele projektu „Inny – nie znaczy obcy”. Centrum Wolontariatu w Lublinie zmierza do ich osiągnięcia angażując przedstawicieli różnorodnych grup społecznych i wykorzystując najbardziej nośny środek masowego przekazu, jakim jest telewizja.

„A theatre without a curtain” project has brought many advantages to its participants. It is impossible to name them all, especially the non-material ones. It showed what great things can our wards can do. They only need to be given a chance. Our disabled actors have gotten one and used it. They changed their weakness into strength and talked about their feelings and the fact they should not be treated as lesser people, or without respect. We are all human beings. We have our own quirks, shortcomings, we do harm to ourselves.

Academy of the future

fopr20212aACADEMY OF THE FUTURE is an innovative education project of the WIOSNA Association which is addressed to children from elementary schools who fail at learning every day and often grow up in difficult conditions. In the ACADEMY we provide support from trained tutors. They make children know their own strength, teach them to overcome obstacles – poverty, apathy, family conflicts, rejection by peers. The basic activity is individual work of one volunteer – tutor with one student.

Internet newsstand

One cannot expect publishers to create special edition for the blind, especially that they could expect only several hundred readers. “De Facto” association downloads magazine files in the form they are sent to the printing houses, transforms them into a form legible for blind persons and publishes them in one place – in blind people magazines Newsstand. Transforming the magazines for the needs of the blind is based on removing graphical elements, advertisements, together with ordering them and returning continuity of the text.

HOPE for a better future

„Rehabilitation – HOPE for a better future” was created on a basis of over 15-year experience of the „Nadzieja” foundation for disabled children. Within the project each child was able to take part in free of charge two-week rehabilitation periods in Therapeutic horseback riding Centre in Słupsk, which will include classes in therapeutic horseback riding, exercises in rehabilitiation room, cranio-sacral therapy, therapy in World Experience Room, massages and physical therapy.

Małopolska Renaissance Heritage

fopr30028aThe project of Małopolska Renaissance Heritage is an initiative of the Willa Decjusza Association for promotion and protection of cultural heritage and tourist attractions connected with the region’s traditions. It is addressed to the Regional Authorities, local society, owners and users of historic buildings, teachers, trainers and journalists. Project structure covers Meetings with the Renaissance culture addressed at open public, and study visits for children from elementary schools.

Better start into adult life

  Main aim of for implementation of the project is to prevent marginalisation of teenagers from rural areas of Lubatowa through equalising their educational opportunities. The project is directed at teenagers aged between 13 and 18, from Lubatowa village, living in families with low material status or endangered with marginalisation. Project partner will be Slovak Tourists Club Doliny a Hory, with which we have signed a partnership contract – says Stanisław Zając the chairman of the Lubatowa Friends Association, the project coordinator.

JUST THE SAME

The “JUST THE SAME” project has influenced creation of an Social Integration Centre in Chorzów. It was implemented by the Association for the Family in Chorzów at Pudlerska 22. The Social Integration Centre includes an Activisation Centre and a Socio-therapy for Children and the Youth Day Centre. Activity of the Social Integration Centre is based on conducting activities in various activity workshops. Elder persons fulfill their interests and increase their skills, whereas the youth participates in socio-therapeutic and prophylactic activities aimed at preventing pathologies and addictions.

Academy of Children and Teenagers’ Activity

The project of „Academy of Children and Teenagers’ Activity” is being implemented in 2008-2010 by the Association of Local Initiatives in Wojnowo in partnership with Countess Aniela Potulicka Schools in Wojnowo. Aim of the project is to equate education and life opportunities of children from rural areas. The activities cover over 300 students from the Countess Aniela Potulicka Schools in Wojnowo
