ACADEMY OF THE FUTURE is an innovative education project of the WIOSNA Association which is addressed to children from elementary schools who fail at learning every day and often grow up in difficult conditions.
In the ACADEMY we provide support from trained tutors. They make children know their own strength, teach them to overcome obstacles – poverty, apathy, family conflicts, rejection by peers. The basic activity is individual work of one volunteer – tutor with one student. Tutor supports the student in learning one subject during weekly classes at school. So called easy tasks system and care for creative classes will help the student to experience success. Each lesson will close with an entry in the WIOSNA Index, which informs students about their specific achievement. The best achievements will be entered into a Success Diploma – a certificate of completing the ACADEMY in a given academic year. Periodically there are integration meeting organised by a team of volunteers working at a given school (e.g. Christmas Eve, a party, educational trips, etc.). Yearly process of work with children are is celebrated by such events as Official Inauguration, Certificates and Diplomas Gala, WIOSNA festival, Children’s Day. We want each student to feel important and unique.
In order for a volunteer to enter the project one has to successfully pass the recruitment process.
During the project, the volunteers participate in trainings which respond to their needs. Moreover they take part in monthly verification and motivation meetings with the volunteer team leader.
Honorary Patronage over the ACADEMY belongs to the Minister of National Education Ms. Katarzyna Hall, Children Rights Spokesman – Mr Marek Michalak and the Chancellor of the Jagiellonian University – prof. dr hab. Karol Musioł. The title of Ambassadors for the ACADEMY OF THE FUTURE belongs to: Emilka Stachurska – actress playing Zuzia in “Niania” TV series, Katarzyna Rogowiec – Paraolympic champion, Rafał „Tito" Kryla – a star of "You Can Dance" – a TV show. With their lives they prove that each child has a right to success!

WIOSNA Association exists since 2001. We are a public benefit organisation. Our mission is to promote solidarity with the needy, mediation in organising support and co-creating civil society. In projects such as ACADEMY OF THE FUTURE, HONEST PACK, CAMPAIGN FOR SMILE, LEADERS’ SPRING we connect the persons requiring support with doners and volunteers. We are exceptional because of our effectiveness – since the beginning of WIOSNA the amount of support from us constantly increases. In 8 years of our activity it reached 10m PLN.
