Thanks to the grant, students of the elementary and secondary school in Wojnowo can participate in various forms of extracurricular activities. The students can choose from activities in circles of interest in:

  • Nature and ecology,
  • history,
  • physics and astronomy,
  • the Internet,
  • chemistry,
  • theatre and
  • arts.

Young linguists can master their skills at extracurricular English and German classes, and persons passionate in acting for other people can participate in teenager voluntary work. Lovers of active rest have also found a proper offer – weekly classes at the “Sardynka” pool in Bydgoszcz, dance classes or Nordic Walking. Educational and cultural excursions are an important element of this project. They allow all students to participate in theatrical plays, philharmonic concerts and to expand their knowledge at a planetarium, orbitarium, or at ecological and educational paths.

Activities in the Academy is not only development of interests and passions, but also work at challenging ones difficulties, limitations, and at improving results in learning. The psychological and educational support , correctional and equalising activities conducted in the project will allow students with deficits, learning and behaviour difficulties, students with specific educational needs, to learn proper social relations, solving problems and correct educational shortcomings. It is for them that additional Polish language and mathematics classes are conducted, together with a training in exchanging aggression – TZA-ART, a „look differently” programme and Spelling-graffiti, memory trainings as well as speech therapy. Disabled students are covered by special activities. Teenagers and their parents, who want to solve current problems can seek help of a counsellor and a psychologist.

Because of a difficult situation at the labour market it is very important to prepare the students well to select their further education path. For that purpose there are not only vocational classes, conducted in 3rd grades of secondary school, but also classes preparing students to write final exams after the elementary and secondary schools. The exam after the secondary school influences recruitment to high schools.

Educational and promotional activities are undertaken for local societies. They are competitions, races, presentations and plays, exhibitions, and activities. Many of them are aimed at environmental protection, e.g. popularising protection of swifts, frog counting, aluminium and old batteries collection. Interesting initiatives and activities by the participants of the Academy of Children and Teenagers’ Activity meet great interest of local circles, and support of many institutions and organisations.
